- You are in an emergency situation or crisis.
- You were required to undergo therapy or counselling either by a court order or by any other authority.
- You do not have a reliable internet connection or a device that can connect to the platform

Supportive provides the platform that connects registered counsellors with clients. Our goal is to make communication easier, affordable and geared to the way we communicate today.
The counsellors that offer help through the Supportive platform are registered, experienced and qualified in providing Psychotherapy treatment on topics such as relationships, parenting, addictions, eating, sleeping, trauma, anger, family conflicts, LGBT matters, grief, religion and self-esteem to name a few. Online counselling is not a replacement for traditional face-to-face counselling and your counsellor will not be able to offer you prescriptions.
Counsellors on Supportive are registered, qualified and experienced. They all have undertaken the study, exams and required supervision hours to enable them to practice.
There is no limit to the number of messages you may send your counsellor. If you have chosen a plan that includes video and phone calls you can organise up to two 30 minute sessions with your counsellor each month.
In most cases, you are matched straight away to a counsellor. Using an advanced algorithm we match you based on responses to the questionnaire, specialisations and distance to your counsellor. By matching by location we also provide the possibility for you to meet face to face with your counsellor if the need or desire is there.

Our messaging plan offers you with the ability to communicate by sending messages, to schedule a phone or video call you will need to choose the appropriate plan.
Supportive is designed to function and feel similar to the messaging services you already use day-to-day such as SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook Message and Skype. Once you login you will enter a private and secure chat room that’s available 24/7/365 for you and your counsellor, from here you can send and receive messages, anytime and of course from any device. Your counsellor will then read and reply to your message with advice and guidance. You will get an email notification each time you or your counsellor send or receive a message. Please note that the email notification will not contain the message.
To organise a phone session you will need to schedule a call with your counsellor. Once scheduled simply log in at the agreed time, confirm you’re both in the room via message and click the voice call button to begin the call.

Video sessions function in the same way as voice calls. Schedule a video call with your counsellor, once scheduled simply log in at the agreed time, confirm you’re both in the room via message and click the video call button to begin the call.

Of course! You can scroll back through messages from when you started counselling. Voice and video calls are not stored.
Your account will be automatically renewed on the anniversary date of your registration. Your subscription is a flat fee regardless of how many messages you send or receive. If you choose the voice and video call plan you can also organise up to two thirty minute video or phone calls each month.
At this stage services offered using this site are not covered by health insurance or Medicare.
